Like many a tumblr, I’ve been enjoying the work of Patrick Moberg for some time. Hanging his work on your door is better than reblogging it.
Thanks Patrick!

Return of Evil Willow last week. I prefer this one, less veiny.

Newly-lined up Pitchfork favourites Wavves sit down for a bit of banter before their show at The Well and tell us exactly how they roll, the re-try at a European tour and the quest to find out who exactly killed their motherfuckin’ son.

Yeah, even though I was unhappy with this at the time, it’s not too bad. Almost zero info about the music but pretty entertaining I guess and something tells me they’re like this all of the time.
Here is some British wrestling I shot with Brendan Docherty and some other dude. Nice edit Brendan!
I’m going to see this guy tonight in Manchester. Every year or so there’s a comedian who takes Britain by storm and riding on their success they are just everywhere. I’ve done a pretty good job of avoiding Michael McIntyre before the gig tonight. I don’t want to go already knowing all the jokes.
Over the last six weeks or so I’ve kind of had someone shadow me to learn the ropes of being a filmmaker. His name is Scott Coulthard and he is seventeen.
I’m getting to paid to have him sit with me in an edit suite and tag along on a couple filming gigs - mostly the video interviews for Just A Minute. So far, it’s awesome because he’s cool, likes Paramore and pizza which means it’s just like hanging out with a buddy. He’s a really nice kid and I think he has enjoyed hanging out with me. If I’d had this opportunity when I was seventeen I would have loved it and I’m super glad that I get to offer something to someone even if my main lessons so far have been:
1. Working in a crew that you don’t know, there will always be one douchebag
2. Working with musicians means being at their people’s beck and call and it’s probably not worth it but sometimes it’s fun
3. After Effects is the greatest
4. Edit systems will always fuck up just when you don’t want them to and you’ll have no idea why.
His placement with me ends at the end of the month but I think I’ll keep bringing him with - it is awesome to have a runner/assistant for everything.
