Kanye West // All Falls Down

My fav Kanye track from my fav Kanye album. Controversial! He was best just after we were used to only seeing his name in Jay-Z’s liner notes and his sound was still novel. Syleena Johnson kills it, samples Lauryn Hill, Kel Mitchell and Stacey Dash are in the video which uses POV and SFX really well and captures aesthetics straight outta 2003 (the colour of her dress, the LV luggage, skin tones, shades and overall colour palette - see also: Pharrell // Frontin’). It takes me right back!
